I've won this about 5 minutes ago, so it's the sellers picture.
Does anyone have background info on this? Were these conscription tokens issued each year, and if so why. Or is it more likely that these were carried by ex conscripts as a memento or proof of service?

I was going to respond w/a pic from a recent auction, but it appears to be the same one. So I imagine you know what it's worth to someone. Nice, I've never seen one.
