A good friend I got into silver hunting a couple of months ago has plenty of time (county employee) to stop at banks and ask for coins.

In the several months he's been doing it he hasn't gotten anything of value until last week. He scored a handful of Ikes and one turned out to be a 74S silver. It seemed to have quite a bit of wear for a silver coin, like it's been in circulation for a while.

So they are still out there but you have to keep at it. A lot of the tellers he ask say if they find any they keep them themselves.
