Im weighing all of my 1983 Lincoln and came across one that weighs only 2.25 gr.My question ....Is this still normal? Thanks

If your scale is correct, that's not in the normal weight range

The zinc planchet was almost certainly punched out of stock that was rolled too thin. Such errors can get as light as 1.6 grams.

Rolled-thin planchets are indeed errors. Value is proportional to how much weight is missing.

Thank you Mikediamond.I almost didn't keep it.Thought I popp in here first to see what others think about that coin.Glad I did.What could be a estimated value on this one?It's about 0.25 gr lighter than a normal zinc. Thanks :)

Albertharris ....I only weigh all my 1983's.And some that look a bit different in color or size.Nice thing to have :)

I would guess the coin might bring $5 - $8 on ebay.
