So about a couple of weeks ago I found a 1964 quarter and had gotten real excited. It got me back into coin collecting.

It was on July 20th that I had found my 1964 quarter it was in a nice condition I would say.

On July 28th I had found an alright 1948 D dime. It was a very nice find just over a week after my first silver find.

I would not mind posting pictures if asked. I found some other foreign coins as well, but nothing crazy.

Cool, congrats. I love the thrill of not knowing what you may find, and silver is always nice.

I have a part time job running a cash register and one time I had a young girl come in and pay with 19-1964 quarters. That was my best find at work but working a register I see a lot of coin and I would say 95% of my coin collection has come from work.

Hard to stop once you feel that urge.

Some little girl was buying a barbie that was about $20+ and had started to pay it all in coin. I was getting excited, only to be struck down by impatient customers, and my bosses telling me to go somewhere that required me to be away from the register until I clocked out. I was sad.

I mean, who works at work right?

All the '64 quarters that I've seen have been in great condition, I think they were for the majority were saved because coins weren't being 90% after that. So a lot haven't even seen circulation. My opinion

Not to sound disrespectful but I would have moral qualms about accepting 19 silver quarters from a child. Just saying.

Trying not to hijack this thread moichacho

I work at a tobacco store and as I said this girl looked young and of course anyone appearing under the age of 30 I have to ask for ID. I checked hers and she was 19 and by no means a child as nickelphr33k has stated. I did feel bad because I believe that she MIGHT have took grandpa's change to pay for her cigs.

I would find it difficult to tell someone I can't sell them something if they are trying to pay in silver. Most people don't know what they have in their pocket and I just happen to have that knowledge.

No threat felt here CJ Cents. I quite like hearing about people's findings. It is always exciting to hear because it gives me more ways to be aware of where I can find coin.

Also, thanks jbuck!

Would any one know how to change the topic title?

I would like for it to say "Coin Roll Hunting at work (pics included)" if you do not mind.

Thanks so much Jbuck!

Today I was called to come into work early. The past two times they had asked, I was not able to make it due to already just making plans. I decided to go and make some easy money.

On August 2nd is when I found my third silver coin, and second silver dime. A 1963 D dime. It is practically new I would say.

It's a great feeling finding silver while being paid isn't it?
