Hi all, I'm new here, but have been collecting for many years. I am new to quarters though and got one in change today that caught my eye. 2013 P White Mountain Quarter. I guess maybe 5% or so off-center strike, but easily noticeable to the naked eye. Just curious as if I should get it graded, or is the value too low to bother with that expense. Also, around what value if any does this have? (other than the $.25) thanks in advance.

to CCF. In my humble opinion it's not off enough to have a premium or to get graded. John1

Is the obverse off-center as well? If not, it is a MAD.

The Obverse is perfect. What do you mean by MAD?

Hi and Welcome,
An MAD is a Mis-Aligned Die. This happens when one of the dies is centered correctly (like the front of your coin) and the other die is slightly off in one direction, causing that side to look slightly off center. They only usually command a premium if it is so far off that some of the letters or design are lost over the edge of the coin.

Very slightly off center. Not enough for it to be worth more than $.25 For it to be worth a premium some of the letters or other features must be affected by the off center strike. As far as the 2000 dime is concerned. Search the forum using the search function----> " Grease Filled Die" I suspect that is what is up with your dime. It would be considered minor and not worth more than a Dime. I have seen coins with whole parts of the coin missing...for example quarters with the entire words "United States of America" missing. Hope this helps. to the forum and Happy Hunting
