I went to my friendly teller at RBC a few weeks ago and was able to pick up $50 in pennies :)

Shes known me for about a year, just make some friends with the tellers, be honest and they will give you whatever they have.

Plus as they all say, they HATE pennies...so giving them away is a relief to them

Nice you have a hookup saving them for you. My bank stopped providing pennies earlier in the year.

Yeah I got lucky I guess. Other banks would not give me any pennies. I asked around a few other branches. Just saw those bags and boxes sitting there...full and unsearched :(

I picked up the coin at RBC and I have a account there so they know me and they get rig of them as I return the pennies to the Credit Union where I have my account there as well.

Buying rounds of Starbucks lattes goes a long way when it comes to befriending tellers...
