Hi All,

Well I have been buying half dollar rolls and loose rolls from the 3 banks I frequent for a few months now, but never found silver.

Well today I went to one of my Credit Unions to pay a bill and just asked if they had any half dollars loose or rolled. The teller took out of the vault $ 30.00 worth of loose JFK halves in a ziplock bag. As soon as she dropped it on the counter I could hear that sweet ding of silver and said I will take them from her.

She poured out the bag and counted them to make sure of the dollar amount and I could see a 1964 and a 1968 JFK. So I walk out with them and checked them out in the car. I received the following dates:

4 - 1964 JFK's
1 - 1965 JFK
3 - 1967 JFK's
4 - 1968 JFK's
and 1 - 1969 JFK.

I am so excited I scored these. All the other times I got nilch and now payday is here.

I did get a lot of 1971 dates other 70's and a 1995 and 1986. Is there any dates I should be looking at besides the silver halves? All help is appreciated.

Thank you

I haven't messed much with halves. What does the NIFC mean? By the way, nice finds!

Congrats on your first silver finds! I remember finding my first two and one of them was a 1970-D!

Nice finds!! Thanks for sharing. It lets us know that there are still some silver halves out there. I always ask tellers for halves, but have not gotten any silver in quite some time. Always nice when I do though-makes my day.
