I really like the reverse a bit overcleaned though. Still a nice coin.

I didn't think I would get another chance at him. Father of diadumeniam. I am a sucker for anything with animals.

Seller wrote a book about Diadumenian and it is used as one of the plates.

Love it - the reverse reminds me of those movies with Charlton Heston riding in to Rome.

Not sure which fruit? They are supposed to be oxen, I think Charlton might have had an issue with them!

It might be a bit over cleaned. Don't know about rarity, and I probably spent too much £25, but I think I will be pretty happy with it.

echizento: I agree with the overcleaning, but in this case, it may have needed it, to provide easier identification, and better marketability. Perhaps it was taken a bit too far. Sometimes, that is the price that has to be paid.

Maybe some acid cleaning could have been involved. When it comes to this type of cleaning, it's best left to the professionals to take the risk, and some value loss, if they get it a bit wrong.

Still a desirable piece.
