What are your overall thoughts? And how did I do on price? I don't usually buy half dollars so I'm not sure, even if I overpaid a little I think that would be fine with me because I like it. But after looking at other capped bust halves at the same price it seems fair.

I'm more of a large cent kind of guy, I think I was actually looking for one when I came across this and it spoke to me.
I like the brightness, the detail on the obverse, the slight doubling at the nose, and the blue around the rim.

The brightness does concern me though, with that much detail worn off of it and there not being any of that black crud in the background. Does it look cleaned to you guys? I feel like I've gotten myself familiar enough with cleaned coins and I don't see any obvious evidence but I feel like it shouldn't be that bright. Maybe it was cleaned a long time ago?

Well it's a nice looking coin. I am also a fan of large cents and Morgans.

Personally I think find a better coin than this in your price range, perhaps a slightly lower grade but without problems. As the seller has notated, this coin has several problems including the date where the "2" in 1832 has been removed and there appears to be some graffiti on the reverse under the neck of the eagle. I also think that this coin has been harshly cleaned and there appears to be some graffiti on the obverse near the nose.

Lots of low end Bust Halves with problems such as cleaning/damage sell in the $40 to $50 range so it wasn't a terrible price.

Looks like an average price. Decent details on the coin. Solid VF. Too bad for the scratched out date, but nice piece!

Well even if I paid an average price I am happy, I really like the coin from what I have seen so far. I'm not able to buy very often.
I don't mind the scratches or missing date number too much at all. And I can't imagine it being cleaned too recently, from the pictures I see toning (from the rim) coming out as far as 1/3+ of the radius which makes me feel better about the cleaning. I'm guessing it was done quite a while ago and gained a good amount authentic color.
Any other opinions?
