On Sunday the 4th there was an ebay auction of the sale of approx. 8-10 PCGS MS67FB Roosevelt dimes. I collect PCGS FB Roosevelt's. I verified each coin on PCGS's website. I won 2 of the auctions. The other remaining coins also sold. I was very pleased with my 2 wins. I had written down all 9 registration numbers. Looking for future auctions I see the same seller selling the identical coins with the same registration numbers 6 days from now. Nowhere in his listing does he say anything about shipping a different or substitute coin. Some of these are in the 200-400 $ range so I don't think he would have duplicates. Sent him an email but have not heard back yet. He has good feedback. Very unusual. Maybe you can give me some feedback on this. edgman      |

Theres definitely something off going on with him. He has a lot of coins like that where theyre being sold multiple times in sort time spans.
I actually was bidding on an 84 67fb from him that I really wanted so I put in a high bid of double what any had sold for since they arent that pricey. Out of no where the coin gets bid up just over my max bid. No joke with in less than 2 minutes of the auction ending I had a 2nd chance off from him which is very fishy to me how fast that happened so I looked and saw that coin had sold twice in the last 4 or 5 weeks already.
I told him id pay more than the highest bidder below me but that was it and they started acting all weird about it. I dunno what exactly theyre doing but I suspect a decent amount of it is they keep relisting stuff when they dont like the final sale price and cancel the sales and relist. I'm pretty sure there was shill bidding on the auction I "lost" but of course no real way to prove it. Either way I wont look at their listings anymore.

oih82w8 My 46-S I only a lowly 66FB. And I don't have a picture because it was bought privately. All my 46 to 64 FB's are no higher than 66. Now from 65 up I have a lot of 67 and 68FB's and one or two 69. Am trying to fill my 46 to 64 collection. Only need 5 more but they don't pop up for sale that often. So if anyone has any Rosie FB's for sale let me know. Thanks for responding. edgman  |

Im going to assume a file photo is his way of saying stock photo. Why on earth you would use a stock photo for ms67 coins is beyond me. I dont remember seeing anywhere that the pictures werent the actual coin you would get which just kind of adds to the shadyness to me.
Hopefully everything works out, a good deal is a good deal. If he sends you different coins and you dont like them I wouldnt hesitate to open a buyer case for not being as pictured so you get back all your money since hes not being upfront about what the pictures are.

The 1984-P is up for sale again. Going to bid on it again? I will probably be bidding on some of the others I missed unless my savings say otherwise. Thank God for Bill Me Later. Why don't these things come 1 or 2 at a time. Anyway I should have my coins by then so I can maybe see what he is doing. I still think there might be another involved because of the way the bids go. I do a lot of selling from time to time and I would be ashamed/embarrassed to list like that. Wish you could still see the bidders names like it used to be. Will keep you informed.

I actually won on from some one else not to long ago for 20 dollars. If he had something I needed I might try it again, but Id definitely wait until I had one coin in hand to see before I tried getting multiples unless it was a really good deal. Id agree that he has some people helping him out. I checked the other bidder on the one I "lost" and over 50 percent of his bids were with that guy, they had a lot of mutual action on each others pages. Plus no on bids at the last second then immediately says I dont want it and I got a second chance offer within two minutes and it was probably more like 45 seconds. It was so quick the emails on my phone actually came at the same time saying I lost it and had a 2nd chance offer for it. He never did answer why I was getting the offer so fast.
I couldnt agree more its ambarrassing to use stock photos on graded coins. Its not even the BIN with more than one available way. Seeing the same thing listed over and over and over is terrible. How much can you really care about what you sell if you cant take 45 seconds to photograph it?
Let me know how it turns out with what he sends
