It looks like a Double Tournois of France Circa 17th Century.

Hopefully an expert will identify it more accurately.

It even reads DOVBLE TOVRNOIS around the reverse, though a bit hard to make out, as is any date. On the obverse, clockwise from about 10:00, we see the last two I's of the monarch's regnal number, followed by R DE FRAN ET POL (with possibly an A for a Paris mintmark poking up at the neck truncation of the bust), roi de France et Pologne. Starting with the first Bourbon king of France, Henri IV, I think the legend changed to R DE FRAN ET NAV, for France et Navarre, so I'm betting the monarch's name, following the A at the bottom, is HENRI III, the last of the Valois kings. So, dated no later than 1589, the earliest monarch in the copper double tournois series, which were among the earliest official copper coins.

Oops! Some more interesting info about this coin. The style seems to match type 3. These coins do not have a date following DOVBLE TOVRNOIS, but are dated to 1591-92, a few years after the death of Henri III. This period in French history is known for the country's most bloody religious violence, with wholesale slaughter of the Protestant Huguenots. Henry IV, formerly Henry de Bourbon of Navarre, only took the throne after renouncing his Protestant faith, but his reign was still opposed by the virulently anti-Protestant Ligue Catholique (Catholic League). It was la Ligue who minted this coin, bearing the bust, name, and title of Henry III, even though a new king was on the throne. And even though Henry III was actually killed by a Catholic assassin with ties to la Ligue, for being too conciliatory to the Protestants!
