I am seeing a bit of a bit vergis that should be removed. I do not believe this coin needs to be retoned. I also do not believe retoning a coin it a good thing. Coins should be kept as original as possible. Having said that, this coin could use some conservation. At minimum an acetone bath. At maximum maybe some Verdicare or other conservation product. The down side of conservation products is that they sometimes darken or change color of coins. Report this Post to the Staff

If it does look brown in hand I do have both acetone and verdicare to conserve it. With the detail left on the coin I think it was an ok buy for 15 dollars. Report this Post to the Staff
