1925 Stone Mountain Commemorative. There is not one single scratch or dent on either side that I could see. Not One. Thanks.

Hello,

I'll go with VF-35 assuming that the lightened areas on the reverse are actually worn-down places on the breast and upper legs of the eagle.

IMHO

More close ups of the birds chest and wings. I assure you I just can't get the right camera settings. There is no wear on the coins. I don't know why they shine a little under the flash. Also, Upon taking more pics, I noticed 2 new things of interest. 1. a little lamination on the left wing, and 2. the O in "of" is broken. It appears that this is original too. Any suggestions?

Not to be a bummer & I'm most definitely no trying to be a jerk but there definitely is wear... maybe its just the photos but I really don't think so. Its most noticeable to me on the obverse.. Some of the highest points and places to show wear first on this coin are the horses bridal's & reigns, the holster, sword and both their gloves and this one shows definite signs of circulation rub in many places on both sides. Its still a nice example but its not a MS coin, it looks like a EF coin, and if the photos are hiding something then it may reach AU. I guess it could be just your photos but I really don't think so.. Your pics actually arnt that bad. Maybe try under different lighting and from different angles. How's the luster?

The broken O and the lamination are interesting though... That I (personally) haven't seen before...

Thanks a bunch. I'm not the best grader but I'm trying to learn and you all are certainly awesome teachers. I do see the wear you are talking about. I understand the difference between MS and AU now. I know now that this is not an MS coin thanks. Does the lamination or broken O add any value. Or is the broken O a mint error? Has any others been found with the broken O?

Appears that you have your answer now ... good for the CCF to support your inquiry.

I agree with a grade of XF45 or so ... the circulation wear can best be seen if you hold the coin in hand ... although your photographs show it clearly to an experienced collector.

Nice coin ... hoping you expand your collection of classic silver commemorative!

40 downgraded to 35 for the unattractive dot on obverse.

Thank you all for your input, but no comment on the Broken O? Or should I repost it in the error forums?
