Found this tonight roll hunting. Is this a true RPM. It's a 1993 quarter.

Looks like MD. They stopped putting MM on to dies by hand in 1990 so it can't be an RPM.

If You RPMES, can put the entire Oberse and the Entire Reverse. I think every body can have a better understanding what happen with this Quarter. Right with this view "for me" it's a RPM. But it's true what John said. They stopped putting Mint Marks by itself before 1993. BUT, BUT, BUT. "You never know".

It's clearer in the first picture, but that nub at the bottom is curious and not consistent with what appears to be MD in the rest of the Mint Mark. I'd love a better look.

2 o more strikes. No questions about it's Machine Doubling, save in your collection any way. The distance of the second strike is very significant.

It is impossible to have an RPM on a coin from 1993 since the mintmark is on the hub itself and not added to a die. Machine Doubling is created by movement of the die during the striking of a coin, not by multiple strikes(business strike coins are only struck once).

Thanks all. Got tired last night and was so enamored with the D that I overlooked the rest of the coin lol. I must say though, it's a mighty fine example of MD! Makes my heart skip when I come across a coin like this :)

Flat and Shelf like is the dead giveaway? Or is it because only a few of the letters are doubled?

Machine Doubling reduces the devices. Note your last images: See how the overall size of the Machine Doubling reduced the actual normal size of the devices, pushing them to the side because of die movement during the strike.

Hub doubling makes the devices (most of the time) equally enlarged. Class 6 doubled dies can affect just certain devices.
