Hello people interested in world coin varieties. I have one 1 Nuevo Sol coin from Peru issued in 2000 that was clearly made from a different die than the other ones from 2000. The letters around the arms are much thinner and the leaves and wreaths are more of an outline than solid like most of the coins issued in 2000. Is this a recognized variety? Or do any of you think that it might be a counterfeit coin? I'll take a photo if anybody really wants me to.

Hoping I'm not the first to see one of these,

Bruce (everycountrycoins)

Bruce,
Are these the circulation issues or the silver proofs ?

Please post a photo of each of the two varieties (obverse and reverse) you have, each with their weights in grams.
