Almost looks like a lamination problem----but I think it has to do with the bust line edge---a die chip broke off at the bust line and gouged the area just like a farmers plow --- producing folded back portions of the copper surface---copper is very pliable. The crack seems too wide to be a die crack- more of a complete break.
