I am trying to find out who Baxter Bason is or was. I believe he was alive in the 1980's and may have some connection to the $2 bill. Thank you for any help you can give me.

Where did you encounter this name?
Are you certain it refers to an individual?
What makes you think it is connected to the $2 currency note (I assume you mean the Federal Reserve Note, series 1976).

I'm sorry - I was "out of position" and could not answer. I have a $2 Federal Reserve Note Series 1976 that he autographed on 1-26-86. The person that got him to sign it would have picked the bill for a reason. But since he is not well known, it probably does not matter!!
