Here is a cool Fugio I just picked up! Just a few issues but quite a bit of detail for attribution purposes. I have been searching through Bowers colonial book and http://www.numissociety.com/showthr...2034-fugio-. I believe it is Newman 22-M because of the MIND YOUR BUSINESS and the WE ARE ONE orientations. Originally I thought it was Newman 21-I, but the last remnants of WE and an R on the reverse make this a STATES UNITED and rules it out (I think?).

Hope you like my new Fugio! Any help confirming my attribution would be much appreciated!

I love it! Do you mind my asking where you acquired that? (Or you can tell just me to mind my business!)

I'm afraid the 22 obverse has the N and the D at the same level.

The first cinquefoil looks to be in the wrong position for 22. the Y N relationship is off for 21. So basically I have no idea. Do not have references with me. I'm sure P will figure it out!

Chetzler, don't mind at all:) Picked this one up at a local shop for less than $200:)

Amida & P, thanks for the attribution feedback. Went back to my reference books this morning. I am now thinking either N16 or N19. I am still pretty sure that this is a STATES UNITED although the WE and the R I am seeing is really worn.

Sounds like a great deal! I didn't realize those could be had for that price. I'll have to keep an eye out; that'd be a great addition to any collection.

Amida's right with the 16 obverse. The ornament is just right of the center of the I below, and YOUR and USI slope upward. Only two reverse possibilities: H and N, and H is a UNITED STATES reverse.

Thanks for making the match for N16! In hand the We and the R are rough but definitive making it STATES UNITED so Newman 16N it is.
