Or is it some other type of damage? If so, is it any more valuable? Thanks!

I am no pro but it looks real. How about a pic of the reverse?

I tried uploading the reverse, but that image kept failing. I don't see an option for image uploading as a comment, so how do I do that?

Did you try using the image optimizer or maybe renaming the reverse image?

Thanks for adding the reverse pics. As I said I am no pro but I do think it is genuine.I see the Blakley effect on the obverse but not on the reverse.

As far as I know, Ike errors are very uncommon and even a minor clipped planchet like this is worth a modest premium.

Check ebay sold items for an idea of value.

Thanks John1, I googled how to search for sold items on ebay, and that gave me a good idea. Looks like between $12 and $53 selling value for non-slabbed clipped Ike's. Even more if they are slabbed.

Real, and it show the color reversal of the clad layers inside the clip. Note in the first picture in the non-clip area the edge has the left clad layer thin, a thick copper layer and then the right side has a thick clad layer. Inside the clip area the left hand layer is thick and the right hand layer is thin. This thick/thin reversal is characteristic of clad clips.
