Hi! Does anyone use a digital caliper? A simple, standart and cheap one? I would like to know if it is reliable, acurate, since it looks so cool, : )
I would not like to measure a coin anb obtain two or more results, you know, the screen alternating between 21mm and 22mm.
Thank you. All opinions are welcome.

Here's the one I use. It's a General UltraTech 6". About $20 at Amazon, but I bought mine at a local ACE Hardware for $23. Works like a charm and looks cool too, if you ask me. •Tri-Mode digital display - inches, millimeters, and fractions. •For making inside, outside, depth and step measurements. •Resolution 0.0005" (0.01mm). •Accuracy 0.001" (0.02mm). •Auto on/off feature preserves battery life http://www.amazon.com/General-Tools...al+ultratech

That is the exact same one I have too (pictured) the only issue I found was I had to trim some extra room in the foam of the top part of the case, as when I closed it, it would turn the unit on, killing the battery pretty quick, I bought it for use with my telescope stuff, haven't used it on coins yet. Now they have a 4" version that is even cheaper: http://www.harborfreight.com/4-inch...r-47256.html

And a set of composite (not metal) ones for under $10. Can't vouch for them, though.

I've found this one for about U$18. I think it will do its job well. Let's see.
