This is not a silver coin, but a 100% nickel dime. Even so, it picked up some nice ground toning. The colours you see on one edge exist on the rest of the coin, but getting the angle of the light right to show it off is pretty finicky.

And of course it's much nicer in hand.

Fantastic find! I do love the coloring and can imagine how great it actually looks. Where did you find it? Photographing coins can certainly be a pain in the neck, but you didn't do bad.

A sand playground - dirt detecting is too hard for me until I practice more.
