I finally submitted some coins to NGC through their office in Munich. It recentrly moved there from Konstanz, but it took over 6 months for them to get the new office set up.

Anyways, looking forwards to getting them back, since many of them are up on the grading section of classic US. It will be fun to update them later on..

I am wondering about shipping, how much they charge? since I am sending them in through their office, I had to put down "NGC" in the shipping section of the invoice.

Do they charge a redicilous amount for shipping and insurance?

any and all experiences with using their EU office will be helpful for future submissions.

thanks

I would be interested in what you find out since I live in the UK.

I have been trying to figure out how to get my 1872 Indian cent that a co-worker gave me for free graded.

I just recently found out that PCGS has an European submissions office but the turn off here is they want 69 euros just to join which is $92.

I did join NGC's premium level, and got 5 free submission with it...

If you don't want to join PCGS, there are several dealers in the UK you can submit through

http://www.pcgs.com/dealers/default...5&mn=5&cc=UK

After I saw that PCGS opened their Paris office, I felt like I might switch over to them after my subscribtion ends with NGC.

HOWEVER, In order to get the coins back from the PCGS Paris office, you have to use one specific courier, and who knows how much that would cost? But you can also pick them up at the office, so if you live in southern parts of the UK, the chunnel train could be a cheaper option.
