The obverse has an odd dark purple toning and the revers has almost too much luster. What grade do you think this Morgan could be.

I've seen this toning pattern on Morgans before and, although it isn't pretty, it causes me no worry. The reverse is of a quality I expect from the San Francisco Mint during that period. Although the toning obscures the obverse somewhat for grading, I'm inclined to think this coin could reach MS64. No way to be sure without it in-hand, though; the toning makes it impossible to be sure in images.

Solid 64, I think it could go 65, as it seems exceptionally clean from marks from what I can see with the toning.
