Nice coin. Are Byzantine gold coins commonly cup shaped? (Or am I seeing a camera/lighting trick?)

Thanks Guy's, the price was right, had to have it..  Allranger, not all gold are cupped, they made silver and bronze cupped as well. Scyphate is the term for these..

Slightly scyphate, and almost no wear. In modern terms, about AU 55! In ancient coin grading terms, 'almost as struck'.
