Someone was asking about the blundered and regular for the 1858 .20 cent coins. Here are certified examples I have of the two different coins. The Blundered is ICCS graded, and the regular is CCCS graded.
While it is hard to see, it show a defined I into the denticals of the blundered coin. look to the left and above the I in Victoria.
Great clear example of I in VICTORIA. Charlton shows 3 varieties----Yours---I in GRATIA---and I in DEI. I have the Gratia one but have never seen a DEI one. Have searched all sources for 7 months and have seen no pictures of one---or any information on it.
This one was a gift from my brother. He knew I liked errors, and found this one in a auction mis- labeled. One of my nicer pieces. Cn I see your Gratia example?
Notice the shortened denticle of this example----All these GRATIA ones have that feature. My estimate is there are maybe 300 of these errors left on planet earth.
