A seller on ebay is selling a far leaf SF far leaf for 225 dollars but here is a scan of the obverse. It looks like a capital I in dei to me.

I think the scan was a bit large and it cut out some of my text.

The I is a capital I whether it's NSF or SF. It comes down to whether the I is flared or not. This is a NSF.

kuh 85 I am not interested at this time but the price of your 1953 is good and the grade f15 to me should be slightly higher. Good luck with your auctions anyway.

I was so annoyed when I had Louis auction off my 1953 SF Far ICCS VF-30 in Torex this spring, and it only fetched $125. After my seller's fees, and shipping costs, I barely netted $100 for it.

I found 5 SF's in an old can of nickles I aquired. Sadly, some of them have rust on them from some 44's and 45's that were in the same can. If anyone can suggest a cure for the rust, I would very much appreciate hearing from you. Also, does the fact of the "rust" mean that the 44=45's have some value as the missing plating variety? Sorry for the noob questions, I don't know anything about coins. Thanks

@ JG86, what I couldn't understand about that auction was your coin (lot #169) received $80.00 less than a similar coin in a C.C.C.S holder (lot #168) with comment: "scratches" on it. Personally I would prefer to send my coins to C & P, they have a much higher return rate on their coin auctions as a result of a larger buyer inventory! Also they have a larger selection of high end coins than any other auction house. Glenn

Seeker, sadly, your rusty coins are considered as damaged and have no collector value, there is no cure.

When I figure out how, I'll post some pictures of my sad tale. One more question: Why are the 45's such a poor minting? Inside the rim is all munched.

Well, well. Perhaps e have a bit of value in that bucket anyway..:) I found a 65 large bead which looks better than the ef 40 example shown by Coins and Canada. Lets hope. I suppose the next step is to contact the graders and send it off...And wait, and wait....How long does grading normally take?

In light of the more recent 1954 NSF thread and pictures, I really have to have a good laugh at "DBM's" response to a question about rust...:D Novice beware!
