Hello all!
I have here a coin that I picked up while in Germany last month. I have been looking online to see if I could find a coin that is exactly like mine. However, I could only find coins that looked somewhat similar to mine. I found many that also said 1 pfennig from 1772, however, none of the coins had the additional "SCHEIDE MUNZ" on the one side, nor the same crest with the "H-S-C" and "W-S-S" on the other. I know my US coins better than any foreign coins, so this is a struggle for me. Can anyone help identify what this coin is, and what the approximate value is?

It's not "W.S.S.", it's "S.S.M.".

The coat of arms, with a coronet running diagonally across ten stripes, is the coat of arms of Saxony. There were several Saxon states, each owned by different branches of the House of Wettin; in this case, "HSCSSM" stands for "Herzogthum Sachsen Coburg Saalfeld scheide Munz" - translating as "Duchy of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld, small change coin". Here's the NGC Database page for it.

Thank you! No wonder I was having a hard time finding the same type of coin! Also, I love your signature, C.S. Lewis was an amazing guy
