I never got around to posting the $10 gold pieces. I finally took some shots today after finishing my wife's honey do list.

Opinions are always appreciated!

The sideways shaped "V" that is in the middle of the neck is not a scratch. It is a tear in the 2 x 2 holder.

Thanks for looking!

I presume that the mark on the shoulder area is a crease in the protective plastic film.
Some of the high points are starting to show the first signs of wearing flat.
Nevertheless, there is good definition over most of the coin.

Yep. And the "scratch" that runs from the field into Liberty's nose is also a holder issue.

Any other guesses/opinions?

The coin looks AU but I don't really see any mint luster that I would expect from an AU coin. That may be because the coin doesn't have much from things like wear or cleaning or it could be from the way it was photographed.

Thanks for the replies! I am going to refrain from posting the other $10 gold pieces as my camera/phone is obviously having difficulties (a little user error in there, too!) producing decent results, especially with coins that are still in their 2 x 2s.

Thanks again for all of the input...much appreciated!

I'm impatiently waiting for the mailman as I know that there will be a beauty of a Walker in there today!

Expect more terrible pics of that one!
