I just have quick question about 2001 p toonie, was letter p on toonie in mint set

Charlton doesn't list a 2001P toonie. The P designates plated steel which, I believe, isn't applicable to loonies or toonies.

The reason I ask this question is because last night I found on ebay this coin title tooonie 2001 p certified by ICCS and I was wonder if I missed this one in my collection

Unless you can get the seller to send you a picture showing the P on the coin I would guess that either a) it's a typo (I've had a few go through my hands so know it does it happen); or b) it was taken from a 2001P set so was labelled 2001P along with the other coins (but in that case it should have also been labelled NBU). I'm not seeing a P in the picture in the listing. I'm no expert on toonies though :-)

I think point B in kuh85 line of reason is truth I think they omit NBU because 2001p says this is from set

It is a terrible picture, and even with the zoom function I don't see any P, but whey did ICCS then label it as a 2001P?

RCM never produced a tWoonie with a "p" mint mark (in 2001 or any other year). There are pl tWoonies with the "W" mint mark - minted in Winnipeg.
