I will be making a submission at the Philly Whitman show to NGC. I'm looking to add some coins to a submission of what looks to be 7 or 8 coins I am submitting myself. No variety plus, please, so if you have a VAM you want attributed, I apologize! I NEED to have the coins in-hand by the Thursday of the show, as I will be going up Friday. The cost will depend on how many coins that I can pull together, but it should be around $30/coin, including shipping back to you. Obviously, if we end up with 30 coins, it will be less, but yeah... Shoot me an email if you're interested, this needs to be set up quickly, obviously, due to the timing. Mods, if I put this in the wrong section, feel free to move it, not sure where it should go.

Out of curiosity does NGC actually slab the GSA holder like PCGS or seal it with the label?

No, they place a pair of stickers over the GSA holder that pretty much ensure you can't tamper with it unless you remove them. http://www.ngccoin.com/services/gsa-holder.aspxJust want to add the reason I am not going with PCGS is they charge additional fees for the plastic "slab" they entomb the GSA's in, and they cannot fit in the original box after that. So less money, still fits in box, and not a huge difference in market value.

I was under the impression that NGC did not do GSA dollars in the holders any more?

NGC does still do the GSA's in their original holders. I just got back 13 of them a couple of weeks ago. They, however, DO NOT guarantee their grade in a GSA holder. That may be a consideration when having GSA's graded "in situ." PG

Thanks for the update FTB. I only have one of the new PCGS slabs and the rest are NGC's. I've about finished my CC's for a while except for maybe an upgrade on my '89 (although the one I currently have is a VAM5A (R7). It would also be nice to have a '90 "Tailbar" if I hit the Lotto. PG

I don't really collect them (can't afford it, honestly) but I certainly do buy any that I think are a 64 or better that I can get at a reasonable price (sub-$200) and am going to start sending them in. I think I have a couple 65's in this lot, and several 64's.

I do like the idea of an added layer of protection but Id like to see one in person before I would spend extra on it.

I think it's $10 additional... generally PCGS charges fees for everything... while the prices may look nearly similar, the hidden fees with PCGS really add up.

Sadly 10 bucks seems to be one of their more reasonable extra fees, that would certainly add up. A little off topic but I did happen to get to see my first DMPL Morgan in person at a coin shop today, absolutely stunning.

Nice coin fade. I bet shes a stunner in hand.
After seeing them in person pictures really dont do those justice. They were never on my list of things to get but I think I'm going to have to add it. I'm sure I looked like a complete moron just waving things over it and looking at them through the reflection.

Yeah, that's before I really got my technique down. Maybe I'll reshoot it tonight.
Definitely worth the money. Proof morgans are cost-prohibitive, but for $500 you can get a stunning 64DM early-date S-mint. It's a must-have for any collector. All of my DMPL's are 63's, I think I am gonna sell them all for a 65.

Bump. I've been aggressively acquiring GSA Morgans lately, up to 8 of my own to send in now. I will remain opportunistic and will be looking to add more, which will drive the costs down further. I am pushing my date for the show up to Thursday, so if you want me to send one in for you, you should really ship it to me by this Friday. I've only had one person inquire thus far.
