I think, he just created account for this coin.
Probably, in order to resell it right away.

Btw - do I need create a new account to sell the items?
If yes - this is the case.

As I thought - it still not late to buy this coin in order to sell it later....the profits only grow up.
Just think - people who bought it for issue price and sold to you for $1500 - made ~ $700, if you will buy it and sell for $3.000 - you will earn $1500.

It's like a feeding frenzy on this coin right now.

All the current auction listings are getting bid up to the $1,500 mark with days still to go on the listing.

Also see a bunch of BIN for around the same amount you posted the sale for Northern coins.

I can't remember a recent coin showing this much appreciation (on a $ basis, not % basis) so quickly.

A couple of complete sets sold for $2,300 yesterday (profit of $1,000 minus fees over retail).....

Superman collectors are proving to be more into coins than Star Wars collectors so that comparison is out to lunch. Maybe it being a RCM product vs. NZM product helps too.

Well folks, I promised to tell you about the Superman gold coin now that I have it in hand. But with all the distractions concerning the after market prices for this coin going through the roof, I decided not to tell you that I am very impressed with it.

I won't mention the fact that the engraved background which represents a part of the"Fortress of Solitude" is very intricate and definitely makes the reproduction of the very first cover of the comic book stand out.

You don't need to know that the word SUPERMAN seems to jump out at you from the coin.

You also wouldn't be interested to know that the box is very cool, showing Clark Kent undressing on the inside of the cover, or that there is a hidden magnet closure to keep the folding cover in place.

I'm sure it doesn't matter to you that the coin sits in a velvet pocket like what you find in a clam shell, so it won't fall out.

Her Majesty on the obverse, looks very sharp in frosty gold on a shiny background, but heck, who would want to know?

I'm sure not going to tell you that I really like this coin.

I'll wait until all the turbulence dies down before tell you what I think...

I, for one, am very impressed with how unimpressed you are.

@moose - Awesome post. I somewhat regret not buying the gold coin. But I did buy the shield and I'm very pleased with the coin/case.

Canadian_coins you caved? I thought you kicked the habit of canadian coins with RCM's diarrhoea of releases.

I caved. Only because, you know, the enamel.

So my wife found out... outch... when we received the package. My excuse was always "Honey I ordered it last year!!" But this time it didn't work. She knew.

I need to retire from this, its crazy. The next 100$ for $100 is tempting.

Went down to the Vancouver BC Post office today..all the coins are gone. Only 10 uncut press sheets left....Of the newly ebay listed Gold S Man coins 3 are in the 3,000 range......At this rate we will be seeing 5,000.00 coins within 2 weeks. I no longer feel out on the limb saying this. When you go into the Golden Age Comic shop on Granville take a look at the early original Superman issues for sale and you will appreciate how much cash the Collectors will dish for Superman.......Im noticing that the rest of the silver coins are getting pricier by the day and I have a hunch that the one oz coins will hit 200.00 pretty soon on a regular basis which is double cost......I also checked out the Stamp Forum and the American Stamp Collectors are really choked about not having easy access to the Stamps. Canada Post wont mail them to USA Customers for some reason......So they will have to get them via ebay or something. USA Stamp Collectors are such polite people in their forum and even offer to pick up stamps for one another on their next trip to Canada! amazing.....

Not only are the coins are flying out the door, but the Canada Post magazine called Details with Superman on the cover are disappearing rapidly from postal outlets. They are selling on ebay for $5 to $12 each.
