Hologram coin is going to be the next hot superman coin as people realize they are not going to get a gold coin unless they shell out a lot of money, they will start looking for a replacement if they haven't started already that is. Well any of the 10k mintage silver 1 oz coins actually, but the hologram is the "first nano" superman coin so that will drive some too want it. And no its not the first "nano" coin but it is the first superman nano.

Welcome to the world of Superman coins Cowboy905. I purchased the 3 different 1oz., the 1/2oz and the lenticular. Received the shield and 1/2oz so far and they're both really nice. Absolutely love the packaging and presentation.
I'm really looking forward to getting the hologram though. I think it's really unique and the best coin of the set. I agree with Northerncoins, this one will start getting the attention soon as the gold one becomes more scarce and the price continues to rise.

Well, I have strange feeling about behaiviour of the Gold Superman coin on the market, specially, after DWS published his deal, and the some other completed listings....
Started to think, that from all those purchases, few were done by the truly-Superman collectors. Part of them went to coin collectors/Superman fans, like for example NuMoosemalist or the coin collectors, that wanted to own all 7-coin set, but some not small part - still move between the people, who wish to resell the coin. And that's lead to continuous price raising.
Who bought the coin for $1.500? Another collector forum member. Haven't he had the opportunity to buy it for issue price earlier for himself? Sure. What he will do with this purchase? Exactly - resell for $2.000+ .....
So, IMO, the coin is good (just good, not nice), but extra "hot" it became just because iterations of "buy-sell" schema.
Btw, does someone know, and I really curious, why another "hot" coins like innovative "Glass Ladybug" and "Gulo Gulo" stopped to grow in price?

Glass Ladybug attracted different crowd than Superman's fan.
Who knows how many Superman's fans out there, after all It is 75th years Anniversary.
Besides, Glass Ladybug's issue price was $150 in Year 2011. Its market price is about $850-$950 now. 6 folds.
So today, Superman Gold Coin is 2-3 times over issue price $750. Still has more room to go compared to Glass Ladybug.

Isn't it strange that Superman fans "occupied" single item and spend on it big money, while for example very nice Superman silver 1oz and 1/2oz could be find for issue price or close to it. Difference in mintage?

Gold Coin - Mintage 2,000 Other Coins - Mintage 10,000 + Other coins are selling pretty well according to RCM's websites (all coins except 1/4oz are either SOLDOUT or awaiting stock) No doubt that flippers are playing important role in recently price spike on Superman Gold Coin. But this is a very good topic to play. Isn't it? "Superman 75th Anniversary Gold Coin, whole world mintage: 2,000" Only available to Canada and USA. Rest of the world's Superman's fans -- you are on your own. grab one somewhere else. (Ebay, etc) I think, no one (flippers, dealers), even thought price on Gold Coin can go this crazy high. Otherwise, J&M will buy more than 3, CDN wouldn't sell at $750/each. lol

I got the half ounce to sell, and ordered the shield to keep. I also bought 13 stamp sheets, and two booklets. Should be a decent seller come xmas time.

In talking with the Canada Post rep re Superman stamps..he said that the uncut press sheet/poster has a finite mintage of 7500 units but the stamps they will produce more on demand so I wouldnt bank on selling stamps for a huge profit. But the press sheet will definitely be an investment winner.
I agree that the Hologram coin will be the next hottest coin in line and it was the second highest priced followed by the shield and them MOS ..once the Gold hits the stratosphere the buyers will turn their attention to those coins but in general all of them will fly up in the sky and the whole issue is bulletproof heh heh

For the uncut press sheets, there is a limit of 2 per order, not per household. So you can order as much as you want through multiple orders.
As for stamps, you could always use them for postage if you fail to resell them. Unlike NCLT; you can't spend those coins in store.
