why buy gold superman from a dealer when you can acquire on ebay for 1800.00?......Dealers refer to ebay and probably to this very forum for info to help them make their decisions....and many of them also sell on ebay as well..But they also get the best prices for the most part for a worry free and ebay free transaction......Personally I would buy another gold superman @ 1800 no problem..but I just blew it on a Dr Who gold..however ....I would probably trade 2 1914 ten dollar BOC gold pieces for a superman gold any day...only on this forum...dont know if thats allowed

Quote: Probably dealers should think to reduce their price for it, or to wait after the Christmas and see. I hope they do so I can afford to buy a few more lol, these ones are a long term investment unlike most other NCLTs.

Give our friends in China enough time and they'll soon make gold Supermans affordable for everyone.

That sounds like a good plan. If it ever happens I might consider another one myself.
It would be neat to have two complete sets since since we have two sons. One actually collected comics including Superman, when he was a young teen. He eventually sold his collection and has always regretted it.

One never knows if it will happen, Numoose!
Two complete sets for your sons is an excellent idea and might make up for the one son who regretted to sell his comic book collection! BTW, has he tried checking out flea markets for comic books? It is the season, where people tend to unload their collections to swap for X-mas gifts...

I'm afraid my son who had the comic collection now has more practical concerns, as he and our daughter-in-law prepare for their first child.
But thanks for the tip anyway!

I just received the Hologram, Lenticular, Shield, Man of Steel a few hours ago. The display case for the 3 silver coins are fantastic (I'm sure this will add extra cost, but totally worth it). Now my biggest question is to sell or to keep?
$389 is a big chunk of changes, especially when considering how many diapers/wipes/oz of milk it can buy....
My son is only 8 days old, he won't know anything until at least another 5 years.... Sell all, sell 3 and save one (which one?), keep all..... decision decision.... I like these coins but they are not my core interest.... I'll just sleep with them a couple days for now.

you could always sell a couple to offset the cost of the ones you keep. I think after Christmas the prices will probably come back down a bit closer to retail..

Congrats on your new son, SA4H! I think you would be be wise to sleep on it. You can always decide to sell, but your son may never forgive you when he gets older. (Just kidding) Hopefully, you will be able to keep them and still be able to buy enough diapers and milk.
