I was in my CU today and I saw that the teller had a $ 25.00 US mint roll of George Washington dollars that were not opened that a customer deposited.
I am not familiar with these coins and wanted to get your opinions if It is worth buying the roll from them? I left without it but will return tomorrow if its worth the purchasing. I mean I don't mind keeping a few for me but I don't need that many.

For $25 face you can't go wrong. Might be a plain edge in there. You can always spend them.

This is a good idea. Buy them at face and check them out. As "Not Mint to Be "said, there could be a plain edge who knows. Then return the rest for an even exchange.

I like to buy something like this from the Bank and give them out as tips.

Chances of a plain edge is rare, but I've found 3 buffaloes in nickel rolls and a IHC in a Lincoln roll, so there is a chance, but not a big one. Just stating the facts. Good luck.

As most have said, you've got nothing to loose. You would just be buying coins for cash. Or coins for something but pretend they are just coins. Once looked though, nice to give away for presents, for tips, for fun. Or you could just take them to another bank and deposit them. Nothing to loose.

I would have grabbed them for face! If nothing else, it is fun to spend them and it might spark a collector in some one else. I like to buy my coffee with them, or put them in a tip jar at an ice cream shop. people are always excited to see these coins.

Face Value? Go for it. There will be many ways to get rid of them if the need arises and if it's a BU roll then it can demand a good premium in a few years.

I would grab a Mint roll over a bank roll any day of the week.
Go for it.

Possible error, kind of an expensive roll to collect but I've got one each of the first 4 of these dollars that came out, also fun to spend.
