baguiobookstore Valued Member Philippines 120 Posts	Posted 06/08/2007 08:17 am I've got one of that philippine 1983 fifty centavos coin error. the error is that of the philippine eagle scientific name spelled PITHECOBHAGA JIFFERYI. supposed to be spelled as PITHECOPHAGA JIFFERYI. "B" replaced "P" for a while until corrected by one biologist. http://bp2.blogger.com/_nED8cszYok4...bae6a3_o.jpg I've got one this coin. probably in a very fine condition. is the coin seriously rare? you've got their a book, could you give me what price does this coin stood? thank you very much! josie Valued Member Ireland 498 Posts	Posted 06/08/2007 10:09 am For me no, it is not that rare for their are thousands or millions being produce in its time that one goverment official critizized one of the staff in the BSP when it replied it is for collectors for the mintage is high. didnt seen any proof error though same in 10 cents 1983.
