Hey Guys!

In my hodgepodge auction this was in there and I'm not 100% sure of it's approximate date and origin. The only text I can make out is Thaler and 90.

Looks Prussian. 1/90th of a thaler was 4 pre-decimal pfennigs. The other side should say, "scheide munze" around the top, "4 pfennige" and the date across the middle, and the mintmark (which is normally "A" for Berlin) at the bottom. Krause references are: KM# 408 (1821-1840), KM# 412 (1823-39, D mintmark only), KM# 433 (1841-2). It can't be later than that, because the crown shape above the shield changed then to something more dome-shaped.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

Thanks Sap!

I really really need to get me an 1800's Krause. The other side is completely worn with no details.
