Been a while since I found this happen while dime coin roll picking. I have to laugh every time it happens. This is #7 i believe. Another cheapskate who takes out a dime and puts in a one cent back into the roll. But then forgets the one silver left in the roll This time a merc.
I had this happen once, Ill replace 2 dimes for a silver anyday. Also I had one of these chiselers shove a nice 1943 steel into one of my dime rolls as well
The person filling the roll was not a collector. I get several cents in my dime rolls every week...the average Joe doesn't know the difference between a merc and a Canadian dime, they're just foreign coins...nice score tho!
When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors... Roll hunting since '77 Dirt fishing since '72
