Hi Guys, I would ask you for your expertise. I'm wondering if that coin is real or fake. Many thanks in advance

I'm trying to figure out if anything looks REAL on that "coin". "Fake" would be a polite term for it.

Welcome, spirtx! To give a little more detail, the main thing obvious is the stars on the bust side, which are irregularly and crudely cut. The letters are crude as well. The main objective evidence against it are the denticles (the little "teeth" around the edge), which stop at a solid rim. On a genuine coin, they would go right out to the edge.

Thank you philadelphian. I got knowledge in roman coins, but don't know much for the US ones. Thank you once again

The color and detail are instantly what set me off as fake.

Welcome aboard, Spirtx. Take a look at the edge of the "coin" to see if it's lettered ... which it's probably not. The majority of these fakes that I've seen have reeded edges.

Too me it looks like just one of those sample coins or silver rounds to look like real coins, doesn't look real at all on very first glance.

Look for the word: "China" on the edge.
