I turned this up amongst some bits I bought the other week.
'Chambre de Commerce de Bone 50c' & 'Republique Francaise'.
The numista website gives it a 100 rarity rating, first coin I've seen that has that !
Google doesn't reveal very much.
Bone is a city in Algeria and was occupied/ French territory (?) around 1915 when apparently this coin/token was minted. Mintage of only 1000 ?
Any other information would be appreciated and also any confirmation that it might be worth a bob or two ! If so I can use it to fund more Victorian silver.
It will be sold in the next few days (
ebay) but more details would be nice.
Cheers
Brian
