This is a token that's been mystifying me.
It's brass. 20mm diameter. Obv: Person dancing and drinking within group of stars with DEPOSE to left and ZIMBERLIN and HZ incuse on a small rectangle to right. Rev: BON POUR CONSOMMER around 20c. Triangular hole in centre of value, presumably issued like this.

Where is this token from and how would you classify it ?

It's called a Consommer token/jeton strangely enough and it should be French. They were used as small change, with the added advantage that they could only be used in the place of issue. Many are numbered to identify the location, others are named for the establishment. There are thousands of varieties so I'm not surprised that I don't recognise this one.

Thanks.
Is there a catalogue ?
My girlfriend sees a female dancer, perhaps indicating a brothel.

The word depose (acute accent on the final e) suggests to me that it might be a token that was licenced by the authorities, and if so, perhaps there is a register of licences.

The few genuine tokens for bawdy houses tend to be more elaborate.
The consommer jetons come in a wide variety of designs. Companies like Cartaux Freres were responsible for a great many of them:

One little (bawdy-house?) token I have had for a while:
Come and see us...address
Cherub offering delights, including beer, wine and liquor.
