Ok. So I have been going threw my pocket change for the last couple of years before I throw it in to my jar of ghange. A couple days ago I pulled this penny out because it looked off to me. It seems like the rim is off a bit or something. I was just wondering if anyone could give me some assistance identifying what is wrong with the coin. Also I only have my phone on me right now to take pictures I will see if I can get better pictures once I get home. Thank you.

I'd say it was a tiny bit off-center, or a little bit of mis-aligned die. Good eye.

to CCF. If only one side is off then it is called a MAD.If both sides are off then it's a off-center planchet. Either way yours is not off enough to be keepable.

Thank you for your feedback. I do greatly appreciate it. I am sorry it has been so long since I have been on but for some reason I never received an email when I had replies. Also my condo was burnt down by my neighbor so I have been moving from place to place. Thank you for your responses.

Thank you. I have made a couple more post on here but since I do not have a camera anymore I have to put the coins on a scanner and everyone is telling me the pictures are to far away for them to tell anything. Thanks again.

Yep. that is a MAD. As mentioned, not quite enough that I would keep it either. Keep looking though.

Thank you smoke. I have also learned not to call it a penny anymore but to call it a cent. I am slowly learning as I post more coins. Thank you.
