Hi Folks, I have an 1820 Large Cent for grading and opinions. I'm having trouble with this one as the obv looks F15 and the rev looks VF20 to me. should I go with the lower grade or the higher grade when determining value?

I see what you mean. Thats a tough call. I agree with your grades for both sides.

I think if you were to send this in for grading, I strongly believe you shouldn't have any problem getting a VF20. That's a good looking and problem free obverse.

i thought the face looked stronger than F15 with nice surfaces but the hair wear was throwing me off. thanks
