I did a seach for "PCGS Smooth" on ebay in the error section and got 72 hits.

Wow, This is a super common error that is still way overpriced IMO.

As an Error collector, I don't even own one yet. This is just far too common for it to be "rare".

For there to be that many errors availlable this week (and EVERY WEEK) and certified by PCGS, I am still waiting for the bottom to drop out.

I'll take a Speared Bison anyday over these, only 5 hits for "PCGS speared Bison"

It's too common to have any lasting value. Although, I didn't expect it to be this popular.

The reason is the media...... ask almost any non coin person and they KNOW what you are talking about.

I agree. I do not own one but admit to watching them on ebay. If I were to get one for a great deal ($10 or less) I would snag it up

I would pay around $2.00 for it. but not more. that is about all it will bring when the collectors finally figure out that it is not worth the money they are paying now. then they will all be crying lol

I agree. It's too common and it won't be worth as much as some people are paying right now.

whats a smooth look like?
I assume "error' coins are mint mishaps? other than being interesting, how is the value of say a $300 coin affected?

Well things are only worth what people are willing to pay for them...the demand is still there, I'd hate to miss out and not get one only to see them continue to go up. I may have to break down and get one LOL
