Heard on the news this am that the supreme court ( I think- this article says ruling is expected sometime this month-http://www.redherring.com/Article.aspx?a=12386&hed=Experts+Handicap+Grokster+§or=Capital&subsector=EconomyAndPolicy) had ruled that Grokster can be held liable for encouraging peer to peer transfer of copyrighted material. I wonder if this is a legal precedent that can be used to hold
ebay responsible for "peer to peer" sales of counterfeit and fraudulent material!
Grokster was an online site where folks listed songs, movies etc for others to download-similar to napster.
