Silverstack. An 1878 CC is high buck in any grade. Lets see what the Morgan people say. Not my forte but, nice pick up. Hope the price was right!

Nice example, AU50-55, but I would not send it in either. I would recommend that if you want a slabbed coin, buy it already slabbed by one of the TOP III Third Party Graders.

AU-55 or possibly a little better. Should be worth sending in to a TPG for grading.

Nice first Year CC. AU-50 maybe 55. If you want to slab it by all means go ahead... Personally I wouldn't, but that's just me. I would value an AU-50/55 more of the $120-$150 range. Is it just me or does it look like it was Struck Through Grease or something on the eagles feet, tail feathers, arrows and the wreath below? It looks like weird, uneven wear? Heavily worn there but nowhere else? All I can think is a Grease Filled Die? It also depends what your in it for already as grading would add to that cost. And

I too would pass on getting it graded all though it looks like a very nice coin. If slabbing is all right with you, some don't like it, then you should consider buying your higher end coins all ready slabbed. I am worried about fakes as the prices get higher, just me though.

Not a huge value-adder, but it makes for a more interesting coin.
