Interesting release.

The Piedfort looks good. And seems to be, like the previous one - Reverse Proof.

I like the seller.
Overpriced - yes, but without creating a hype.
And also - nice preview.

Excuse my ignorance, but what exactly is a piedfort? I have heard of the term but am not sure what it means.

According to asking price ($199) I can guess, that Candy Cane coin will be priced CAD 149.95,
and the Piedfort - $99

@MoneyPenney:

In basic words - Piedfort coins more thick, than a regular, having the same weight (hence they smaller in diameter)
...and nice lay in hand

As example:
1996 (?) Toonie Piedfort from Coin and Stamp set
2010 Piedfort SML
2012, 2013 Australian Lunar High Relief coins (6mm thick !)
2012, 2013 Koala and Kookaburra High Relief (6mm)
etc

Enjoy the video of this beauty:
(as the Year of Dragon born, I couldn't miss it):

Interesting. I better save this seller looks like he's able to post pictures up with no problems. Too bad there isn't one with the fractional.

I only can assume, that the fractional costs $200, and seller didn't find it "cool" enough in order to ask ~CAD 300 for it.

IMO, although he doesn't loose nothing, pre-selling this way 9even before MC pre- sale), but he tried to select only potentially "profitable" and popular coins.
Correct me if I wrong about pre- sale.

Thanks for linking to my listing there Silveroid
I have the full set as well for under $600.
Beautiful coins but in my opinion priced too high at issue price.

Another 25th anniversary of the SML? really? we have a 1oz from a fractional set, a 1oz gold gilded rip off of the Platinum Maple anniversary, and the 5oz already... the RCM's beating this to death.
