Rumours out there indicate that this could be an expensive release for some collectors.
A new glass holiday themed coin (Candy cane), a fractional set with gilding, a peidfort maple, 4th eagle and a few other others.
Hopefully more information comes out soon.

Thanks. I knew a while ago about the glass coin and that it was later in the year... Just not what the theme was... It sounds like a more promising release than the last few months.

Thanks for posting CC-Ottawa.
Can't wait to see the glass candy cane. Wonder what the mintage will be? 10,000? Could be tough to get depending on mintage. Will make a great Xmas present if it's nice.
Looking forward to getting the 4th eagle too. The 2nd and 3rd of the series have been really nice.
Piedfort maple....when's the last time the mint did a Piedfort coin?

The last piedfort maple I can think of was a reverse proof in 2010. There was a similar gold coin issued at the same time in a set. (6k single ag coins and 3k sets of both coins)
Of course, October will also bring the orca to complete the 1 oz O Canada series as well as the 1/2 oz orca for that smaller coin O Canada series.
I'd guess 10k on the candy cane too. Might have to be quick on that one.

"Candy Cane" coin - need to see what is this.
I feel, recently, we have "jump-on-it" coins, instead of something really interesting and valuable.

Thanks for the info CC-Ottawa and Silveroid.
Very nice coin. Issued @ $79.95 with a 9,000 mintage and it's selling for $145 now. I wonder what price/mintage will be? $99.95/10,000?
Think I'll get one of those for sure.

Looks like that person is using post office pictures.
I think I have an extra 2010 piedfort.
