Good Afternoon Everyone - I have a small business venture that is tasked with seperating Canadian coins from "other currencies" and recycling the Canadian back to Canada. In the process I have over 100 pounds of coins and tokens from all over the world. In a short time I have found 1917 silver 3 pence coins, ETAT FRANCAIS 1 franc (1945) ect. These coins appear to be in wonderful shape. I'm interested in listing found coins that my be of interest to collectors so they don't end up as true scrap. Any ideas, suggestions of where to list or communicate these and all finds would be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to email ***E-Mail Address Removed***with comments or suggestions.. Have a great day

to the Community!

Please review our Buy / Sell / Trade Rules. It is okay to ask for advice, but I urge everyone to be mindful of our rules and why we have them.

! I would recommend you hang around the forum and post pictures of those coins you have specific questions about. A list is a good starting point to ask if there are any varieties to look for. But even with a list, it is difficult to give coins specific guidance without pictures.

Hi jbuck - I thank you for your quick reply and understand your comment. Just to clarify - I'm not a collector and am not planning to start as of this time. Given the quantity of coins that I have I am more interested in getting anything of value to an appropriate collector so as not to have something of collector importance destroyed. I know I could use the Craigslist and ebay to sell each individually but I'm more interested in getting a few contacts to discuss / share information in a smaller circle and in-turn help them possible increase their collections. I appreciate your comments and hope I can help someone in your circle of collectors..All the best and regards from Vermont..

I moved this to the main forum for a broader audience.

As CK mentions above, we will need to start with a list of what you have. Photos may or may not be necessary, depending on what you have. Once we have a list, we should be able to separate the coins that need more attention from those you can easily dump on ebay or Craigslist without guilt.

Yes, I'd love better pictures.

I'm fairly avid when it comes to world coins, and there are plenty of people here who are better than me, so we should be able to pick out any valuable or silver coins.

And, be sure to search the Canadian coins for silver!

So much depends on if you need money for those coins.
If not necessary to sell for money, lots of methods on how to get rid of those.
Just curious, how did you get all those coins from other countries if you in the USA?
1. Contact the nearest school and ask there if there are any methods of handing them out to kids that are intersted.
2. Look up coin shows and if there are any in your area, go to one and ask there if anyone wants to buy them.
3. Simply look up coin or hobby stores in your area and take them all there. See if they are interested in buying.
4. Stick around here and ask a lot of questions and eventually you'll be able to sell or give away here.
