Navy Davy had family obligations so I tackled the Button Hole by my lonesome. Had to be careful as the mud was up to ones knees so it was a game of leap frog from rock to rock. ND had had good luck around a rock formation that looked like an outline of a foundation but no buttons were to be had . Only find in that area was a 1864 seated Britannia copper.

Moved along the once shore line to a new area and scoffed a bell and some nice blue glass which is a favorite with this bouy.

Hit a real trashy area littered with iron and God knows what and pulled out a piece of gold (10K) that needs a bit more cleaning up. Few more coins and my knee said time to go so I went.

Rest in Peace

When ever I go detecting, my family always jokes and says "Find any gold?" or "Are we still poor?".

Hey bluenoser, what does that gold represent? Looks like its perched on an oak symbol - not anything to do with despatches by any chance?
You will never soar like an eagle if you hang around with turkeys.....
