I explain a little bit about why I bought so much in the video. Basically the reason is I had to sell much of my junk silver when we needed money. I sold over melt, now I was able to buy back UNDER melt and actually come out ahead. Not only that, but it was an upgrade from 40% silver to the crazy array of coins you see in the video. I finally have diversified my silver!
Looks nice, I just hope that you bought the right stuff. Two things concern me with your recent purchases-
1- theres no gold at all,
2- I dont see that you purchased any pieces with numismatic value, such as marked down proof silver coins such as proof eagles, or proof world mint coins or even uncirculated silver coins.
All I see is bullion and thats going to be a in freefall. The reason I mention proof and uncirculated numismatic pieces is because there have been mark downs in those markets which offer GREAT value and cushion. Then again maybe I missed those pieces I only watched the first 2 minutes of the video.
95% of what I bought was under melt, so I think I did well. The ASEs for $22 was a steal. Some of those mercs look uncirculated, and I got them for $1.5 each. There were several proof 40%ers that I bought for $3 as "junk" silver but I really like them.
Well, as long as you like them, thats what is important.
Just wish you had bought some stuff that offered a cushion. I really dont see gold and silver being great places to put all sorts of money into going forward.
You mean numismatics? I was thinking about that. I have an easy time buying silver under spot, though I don't have the knowledge yet to do so well key dates and such. I'm hopefully going to be learning soon from a guy who used to do grading many year ago.
Also, the main reason my wife was ok with me buying all this silver was that I had to sell almost all of my junk silver to pay bills. That junk silver was all from circulation finds that I got during CRH.
All those 40%ers are pretty much gone, except for any proofs benjamins and things. I have some other big scores as well, and most of those have been sold, except for anything collectible beyond junk silver.
Even after all these buys, I'm still in the black. I sold about $1500 or so that I have found from circulation, and only bought back $700ish.
And no, I'm not a high volume searcher. I just have a lot of luck and some good strategies.
